Steampunk Queen - English Mild Ale

The 3rd seasonal can design features a completely new label design created by Cyndi Wiebe, who is also our Graphic Designer. Cyndi has been instrumental in cobbling together all my concept sketches and ideas into a cohesive steampunk style brand. Our core beer cans have all been typeset and edited by Cyndi.

Cyndi does a lot of children's illustrations and water colours. Maybe not the first kind of art and artist you think of when our brand screams Evil and Global Domination! But I knew watercolour art would look great on a can. So I approached Cyndi with the name and the concept, and look at the beautiful art we got for Steampunk Queen!

The beer style here is a classic English Dark Mild. The overall Impression can be summed up as: A dark, low-gravity, malt-focused British session ale readily suited to drinking in quantity. Refreshing, yet flavorful for its strength, with a wide range of dark malt or dark sugar expression.

So, who is she, the mysterious Steam Punk queen? She is beautiful in her top hat, goggles, and Victorian era corsetry. She’s elusive and mysterious, working her nefarious machinations from the dark shadowy steampunk underworld. Brass and gears and beers oh my!
